Backend API Engineer (Laravel)

DESCRIPTION

We're looking for a seasoned backend developer to help us maintain and expand our suite of internal and external APIs for the restaurant industry. Our RESTful API services multiple clients (mobiles apps, websites, third-party services) so experience with versioning, caching and token-based security mechanisms is a must. You'll be designing, documenting, building and deploying RESTful JSON APIs on a daily basis.

 

We're 100% remote and proud of it. You can pick where and when you work, as long as you stay productive and we have some overlapping hours to do standups. Our company has registered entities in Thailand and Singapore so we can offer sponsored visas if you'd like to live in or visit either country.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the CTO to architect scalable web solutions.

  • Deliver performant, reliable, maintainable and tested code.

  • Plan and estimate project timelines and delivery dates.

  • Perform daily stand-up meetings.

  • Review other developers' code before merging and releasing to production.

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Multiple years (4+) working in a professional software development environment.

  • Strong skills in PHP 5+ development.

  • Experience designing and building RESTful JSON APIs using an MVC framework (preferably Laravel 5+).

  • Experience building JavaScript-based single page web applications using a frontend framework (preferably Angular 4+).

  • Familiarity with SQL programming (preferrably PostGRES).

  • Understanding of patterns and techniques for building scalable back-end infrastructure (caching, client rate limiting, authentication and authorization schemes).

  • Functional knowledge of Git and GitHub.

  • Proficient English communication skills, both written and spoken.

DESCRIPTION

Foodkit is seeking an experienced sales professional to join the growing team at this exciting time in the businesses journey.  As VP of sales for Foodkit, you will be a driver in defining an industry.

 

The selected person will spearhead international sales for the Foodkit platform in South East Asia (and beyond).

As the most senior member of our Sales team, you will be at the forefront of generating excitement and demand for Foodkit’s powerful software suite. You will identify markets that best fit our product offering, qualifying sales opportunities, and building a pipeline of leads.  You will engage in prospect discussions and product demonstrations and directly contribute to the company’s profitability and validating its place as the enterprise leader in South East Asia.

You will be responsible for building an international sales team as the business scales.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

To drive further growth, we are searching for a hunter sales profile who wants to make their mark.

  • Develop  sales and partnership strategy in conjunction with CEO

  • Plan, develop, organise, implement, and direct the organization's enterprise sales function and performance whilst planning for continual improvement and efficiency

  • Close new business opportunities

  • Shape value proposition for different stakeholders and leverage internal marketing to proactively penetrate

  • Leverage and continue to develop a strong network within the space

  • Manage accurate sales forecasting and reporting

  • Develop sales processes

  • Over time, build out sales teams

 

EXPERIENCE

  •  

  • 5+ years  of working in a sales role  

  • Degree - MBA well regarded

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

  • An entrepreneurial and strategic mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills

  • Excellent relationship building skills with a full understanding of the end to end sales process to include cold calling, networking, pipeline creation, needs analysis, presenting and winning deals at c-level.

  • Comfortable working with medium to long sales cycles  

  • English with some Asian language experience preferred

  • Comfortable working with Hubspot
